For our third year, Youth Outlook invites you to join us at a special evening for Dare to Dream, our annual extravaganza supporting Youth Outlook. On October 8th, masks, costumes, dancing, food and fun are going to be the "De rigueur" at the Bolingbrook COuntry Club! (masks, costumes are encouraged but not required, and black tie optional). With new programming, and reaching out to more youth than ever, Youth Outlook continues to be a vital beacon for those youth in whose lives we are making a difference. This year we celebrate the third year anniversary of Youth Outlook and will explore the many dreams and aspirations of those youth, staff, and supporters involved. We will recognize three honorees at the event:

Youth Outlook is pleased to announce a new discussion group running over summer 2010 for youth 18 to 21 years old.  I.D. (Identifying Differently) will meet first and third Wednesdays, 6:30 to 8 pm in Naperville through September. For details, email us. All other drop-in centers are now serving youth 14 through 18/high school graduation.

Judge Vaughn Walker just released his decision, ruling that PROP 8 IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL! Judge Walker's federal court decision is an historic milestone in the fight for full equality, but it is only a first step: The decision will inevitably be appealed to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.

After denying Americans the opportunity to watch this historic trial on television, Prop 8 campaign leaders and extreme right-wing organizations like the National Organization for Marriage and Focus on the Family will stop at nothing to delegitimize this decision before it ever reaches the Supreme Court.

Team Youth Outlook is proud to participate in the 2010 AIDS Run and Walk Chicago, organized by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago!

The Centers for Disease Control projects that each year nearly 60,000 Americans become infected with HIV – disproportionately impacting young minority communities and young gay males. More than 10,000 Chicagoans are living with AIDS and another 10,000 are living with HIV. Join Team Youth Outlook on October 2nd as we walk to raise money for the HIV programming that we offer in our drop in centers.  100% of funds raised by Team Youth Outlook goes to Youth Outlook!
