Established in 1998, Youth Outlook is Illinois’ first and longest-running nonprofit social services agency, solely dedicated to providing the care and community LGBTQ+ youth need to reach their full potential. Our services are offered statewide, including virtual and in-person drop-in centers for youth ages 5–20, caregiver and parent support, health and wellness navigation, and community education and professional development.

Our funding follows the non-profit best practices of coming from varied sources. We currently have the support of individuals, events, grants, businesses, and community organizations. With the addition of our conference and additional professional development training, we are moving towards 10% self-funding.

In 2022, we were awarded our first federal grant via the American Rescue Plan Act for services in Will County. This grant is funded until 2026. In 2024, we have been awarded funding via the IDHS Transgender and Gender Diverse Wellness and Equity Program. This grant is funded until June 2025.

We have a Platinum Transparency Seal from Candid (formerly Guidestar) for our financial practices and stewardship of donated funds.
