Registration Now Open: Future Outlook 2026 Conference

Written by on January 8, 2026

Future Outlook 2026 Conference returns April 16–17 in Naperville with two days of learning, connection, and practical tools for professionals supporting LGBTQ+ youth and families.

Youth Outlook is excited to share a first look at the Future Outlook 2026 Conference, happening April 16–17, 2026, in Naperville, Illinois. This year’s theme, “Strengthening Our Community of Care,” reflects a simple truth: LGBTQ+ youth and families thrive when the people supporting them are connected, resourced, and learning together.

Registration is now open, with discounted pricing offered until March 31, 2026. Special rates for students, interns, and retired professionals, as well as group rates and scholarships, are also available.

A two-day conference built for real-world support

Now in its third year as a two-day event, the Future Outlook Conference is designed for professionals who work with LGBTQ+ people, including those supporting LGBTQ+ youth and their families. The conference will feature keynote speakers, expert-led sessions, and tracked breakout sessions by profession, so attendees can build skills that fit the realities of their work.

Theme spotlight: Strengthening Our Community of Care

“Community of care” is more than a conference phrase. It is the network of educators, clinicians, social service providers, and community partners who show up for LGBTQ+ young people every day, especially in moments when support is hardest to find.

This theme also fits Youth Outlook’s broader commitment to strengthening the environments around LGBTQ+ youth, not just offering support in one place at one time. When adults learn together, young people feel the ripple effects in classrooms, waiting rooms, and community spaces across Illinois and beyond.

Who should attend

Future Outlook is tailored to the professional development needs of:

  • Educators and school staff
  • Mental and physical health practitioners
  • Social service providers
  • Anyone working with LGBTQ+ youth and their families

If your role touches young people, families, or the systems that serve them, this conference is meant for you. For many attendees, Future Outlook also serves as a powerful reminder that they are not doing this work alone.

Learn, network, and earn continuing education credits

Along with learning and connection, Future Outlook is designed to support professional requirements. Attendees can earn continuing education credits, including CEUs, CPDUs, or CMEs.

The conference will also include networking opportunities and a resource fair, where participants can connect with affirming organizations and discover helpful local services. If you are part of an inclusive organization that wants to reach professionals supporting LGBTQ+ young people, the resource fair is also a meaningful way to share what you do and build partnerships that last beyond the event.

Why this matters now

Across Illinois, the demand for affirming support keeps growing, and the adults who provide that support deserve training that is relevant, grounded, and community-centered. Youth Outlook’s work includes building welcoming spaces and equipping the broader community with tools that foster safety, belonging, and resilience.

Future Outlook is one way Youth Outlook strengthens that network, helping professionals create environments that feel like a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth, not just in theory, but in daily practice.
