Turn Pride Into Support at Chicago Stars FC Pride Night

Written by on July 23, 2026

A Pride Night partnership on Sunday, August 9th will bring fans together while directing $5 from every eligible ticket to Youth Outlook.

A soccer match can be more than ninety minutes on the field. On Pride Night with Chicago Stars FC, it can also be a way to show up for LGBTQ+ young people across Illinois.

On Sunday, August 9, Youth Outlook supporters can gather for Pride Night with Chicago Stars FC. The match begins at 6:00 p.m. at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium in Evanston, where Chicago Stars FC will face Bay FC during an evening centered on Pride, connection, and women’s professional soccer.

For every ticket purchased through Youth Outlook’s special link, $5 will go directly to Youth Outlook. That support helps sustain affirming programs for LGBTQ+ youth, families, and communities across northern and central Illinois.

A Match With a Larger Impact

A ticket to Pride Night offers more than admission to a soccer match. It also supports Illinois LGBTQ+ youth services that help young people build confidence, community, and lasting connections.

Founded in 1998, Youth Outlook serves LGBTQ+ children, youth, and young adults ages 5 through 24. Programs include Drop-In Centers, Rainbow Sprouts, caregiver support, and Health and Wellness Navigation services.

Youth Outlook’s Drop-In Centers offer more than 40 hours of weekly programming across in-person and virtual locations, and 87% of participants return each week. That return rate reflects the trust young people build in these affirming spaces, and the relationships they find with staff and peers who understand them.

Pride Night gives community members a simple way to strengthen that work. Show up. Cheer for a great match. Send $5 to programs that meet LGBTQ+ young people where they are.

A Partnership Rooted in Belonging

Chicago Stars FC is Chicago’s professional women’s soccer club in the National Women’s Soccer League, recently entering a new chapter under its current name. The club’s community work focuses on access, inclusion, and stronger connections across Chicagoland. Those choices reflect values that connect naturally with Youth Outlook’s mission. Belonging does not happen by accident. It grows through intentional action.

“Pride Night with Chicago Stars FC is exactly the kind of moment our young people deserve to see: a full stadium, a professional sports club, and a community all showing up for LGBTQ+ belonging in the same place, at the same time,” said Nancy Mullen, Executive Director of Youth Outlook. “For every ticket purchased through our link, $5 comes back to the programs where LGBTQ+ youth build community year-round. That is Pride doing real work.”

What Your Ticket Makes Possible

Youth Outlook believes LGBTQ+ young people are experts in their own experiences. Their voices help shape programs, conversations, and organizational priorities.

That youth-centered approach guides every Drop-In Center and support service. Trained staff and volunteers help create a safe space for LGBTQ+ youth without judgment, where young people can explore identity, healthy relationships, leadership, wellness, and self-advocacy. Fundraising partnerships help sustain that LGBTQ+ youth support. They also introduce new community members to Youth Outlook’s work, turning a night out into a lasting connection.
