Youth Outlook Earns Candid Platinum Seal for Third Consecutive Year

Written by on March 6, 2026

NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 6, 2026 /PRNewswire/ – Youth Outlook, Illinois’ first and longest-running social services agency dedicated to supporting LGBTQ+ youth, announced today it has earned the 2026 Candid Platinum Seal of Transparency, marking the third consecutive year the organization has received Candid’s highest level of recognition, following awards in 2024 and 2025.

The Platinum Seal is the top level in Candid’s transparency framework. It is awarded to nonprofits that share detailed information on their goals, strategies, finances, governance, and quantitative impact metrics through their public Candid profile. The designation recognizes organizations that go beyond basic reporting by publicly sharing strategic priorities, financial information, leadership and board details, and data on measurable results.

For Youth Outlook, the recognition reflects an ongoing commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible stewardship as the organization provides care and community for LGBTQ+ youth across Illinois.

“Candid’s Platinum Seal matters because trust matters,” said Nancy Mullen, Executive Director of Youth Outlook. “Our community deserves organizations that listen, act responsibly, and show the results. This recognition affirms our commitment to use resources carefully and to openly share the difference community support makes.”

Candid offers four Seal levels, from Bronze to Platinum, based on how much information a nonprofit makes public through its profile. Platinum reflects the most comprehensive level of reporting, including recent impact data that helps donors and partners better understand how an organization measures progress and community benefit.

Youth Outlook’s public profile highlights the organization’s mission, leadership, programs, and impact as it serves LGBTQ+ children, youth, young adults, and families statewide. Founded in 1998, Youth Outlook provides virtual and in-person programs for youth and young adults ages 5-24, with Health and Wellness Navigation available for LGBTQ+ individuals up to age 30. Programs and services include Drop-In Centers, Rainbow Sprouts, Thrive, Grandbeings, and Health and Wellness Navigation Services, all offered at no cost.
